'From little things, big things grow' AHLA is a new and intimate literary agency opened in February 2007. Through this agency, I hope to develop a client list of productive and successful authors, particularly in the genre of children's fiction. As a new agency, I cannot make any promises (indeed, no agent can) but I will endeavour to do my best to place your work with appropriate commercial publishers and to provide personalised service to my clients. You will deal only with myself and I will make myself available to clients as best I can. I believe that as an avid reader and through my work as a book editor and manuscript assessor, I am able to spot new talent and feel that it is important for writers with potential to receive help in developing their writing skills and careers. AHLA does not charge fees of any kind and the agency is separate from my work as a freelance book editor and manuscript assessor. All editorial advice to represented clients is provided free of charge. The only income I receive is from the 15% commission on sales and advances. The agency is currently closed to new inquiries due to the volume of submissions received since opening in February 2007.
